Small Database Comparison by the CCL-EAR Committee
Members of the CCL-EAR committee reviewed the following small databases:
• Academic Search Elite (EBSCO)
• Expanded Academic ASAP (Gale)
• Proquest Research Library (Legacy Platform)
• Wilson Omnifile
The databases were evaluated by the following criteria:
Comparison of the total number of (continuing) full-text, peer-reviewed titles.
Number of unique titles
Coverage of what we considered to be core titles* for a community college library collection
Interface and usability
